CAB a "Misinterpreted Good" or a "Disguised Evil"

On 9th December 2019, Mr Amit Shah the Hon'ble Home Minister of India introduced a bill to Ammend the Citizenship Act of 1955. The Ammendment provided easier path to Citizenship for persecuted selected Minorities from the neighbouring countries of Pakistan,Bangladesh and Afghanistan  which included the Hindus , Sikhs , Buddhist, Jains,Parsis and Christians.

   Muslims were not given eligibility in the list. The muslims now are haunted by the thought that the Hindu Ruling Party has will use this act along with the NRC to render them Nationless.

But , how is it possible to throw a person with an Aadhar Card or a passport  out of the country or declare him a non-citizen. We will require some proof more powerful than the Aadhar card or the Passport or the PAN card to prove the victim a foreigner.

The Indian government justified by saying that Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh are Muslim Majority States where Islam has been declared as the official state religion through constitutional amendments in recent decades (unlike India which is still a Secular state), and therefore Muslims in these Islamic countries are "unlikely to face religious persecution" and cannot be "treated as persecuted minorities".

SAD REALITY OF PROTESTS IN INDIA

    The thought of writing this blog came to mind when i saw a video of a journalist asking Anti-CAA protestors their reason for protesting. More than half of the people didn't even know the full form or the crux of the act but were told that muslims are tortured so they should protest.

   Such people are used by the leaders to defame government policies and spread communalism in the country. We common people easily become puppets in the hands of our leaders who use us for their benefits.

    I am pretty sure that the passing of the bill for the betterment of the people will cost the BJP a lot of votes.

MAKING OF A HINDU RASHTRA.

    India is home to more than 11% of the Islamic Population and the muslim population in India is the 2nd largest.

    With so much of Muslim voting( thats what the Political parties are worried about , not the citizens [Voter > Citizen] ),how can a political ruling party risk its majority of seats(They want to remain in power).

    So, I don't think the Government has any plans to torment or harass muslims because that would cost them the 2024 elections. But one thing is true that the opposition will be happy seeing the protests and anti-Govt movements (Politics=Sadistic pleasure).
